The San Lino is located at the quiet end of the old town, but everything in Volterra is within a short walk. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff was especially accommodating when we needed to extend our stay unexpectedly. The onsite parking was convenient and secure. The included breakfast gave us a good start to the day.

We stayed at the San Lino for the Andrea Bocelli concert last week. We want to pay special tribute to the front desk team (Jenny, Lisa and Dorothy) and also Antonio for their helpfulness, friendliness and efficiency. They are a very good team. The hotel location is fantastic, breakfast was good and we liked the pool area. Hope to be back soon! Phil and Moya Caldwell.

Hard to believe this qualifies as 4 star hotel. AC was working but completely ineffective, bathroom was extra small, the housekeeping service was really noisy (or the walls are too thin), everything seems outdated and not particularly well maintained. Breakfast was ok. The only good thing was the swimming pool (kinda small though) and the location.

The hotel is centrally located but don’t bother coming when it’s hot and out of season as they turn the air cons off and you cannot turn them on. We asked at the desk and we’re told NO it’s not summer yet even tho we have had a heat wave. We were there in MAY . Sorry but this is not good enough for the price you pay having no flexibility with the climate conditions.

I had a great stay, Hotel is perfectly located in centro storico di Volterra, within walking distance from town attractions and restaurants. I left charging cable for my garmin watch and staff sent it back which was very kind. Thank you!

Comfortable, clean rooms in a nice quiet end of town. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed talking to the staff in the breakfast room. However, when we checked out, the proprietor accused us of stealing pool towels - we didn’t even use the pool - and clearly thought I was lying when I said we didn’t use any towels. She was so aggressive and insistent that I was going to open my suitcase to prove my innocence. Just just said “fine” and literally turned her back on me. Really rattling experience and the first rude Italian I’ve met after 2 weeks in the country. I wouldn’t stay here again, just because of this.

Amazing hotel located in the center of volterra. With a great swimming Pool and very friendly people at the reception and outdoor bar. But breakfast was really really terrible.

Great location, clean and comfortable and a bonus having a pool when temperatures in mid 30s Cons stayed 2 years ago and they had there own restaurant which we did half board and was lovely, they no longer have but use a restaurant in town which we found but no staff were present so went elsewhere to eat. Plus limited bar hours 3.30 until 8pm which is a negative as when round pool in day can t get a drink and same when come back after night in town .
